George College aims to develop its students in as many spheres as possible. To this end, we encourage relaxation from the intense academic workload through participation in diverse co-curricular activities.
1. Our students have access to the George Telegraph Sports Club, which has been in the forefront of sports in Bengal for nearly eight decades. The club has its own playing fields in the vast expanse of the Kolkata Maidan. Its football team plays in the Super Division League and its cricket team plays in the First Division League.
2. There are Activity Clubs in ‘Cerebral’ (quiz, debate, elocution), ‘Performance’ (drama, music, dance) and ‘Creative’ (art and craft, fashion design) areas. To provide a focus to these activities, our students are encouraged to organise and participate in inter-college events. |

| Apart from academic curriculum we encourage the students to extract their creative essence. Ample of opportunities are provided to them to organize cultural, academic and sports events. Our Activity Club bestow every support for arranging any Quiz, Debate, Drama & Elocution, Music, Dance, Art-n-Craft shows and others. Every year the students are having Cultural fests, Freshers' Welcome organized by seniors as a warm reception for the newcomers. Events like Tech Fests, Management fests, World Health Day by the Hospital Management students, World Optometry Day by the Optometry division, World Tourism Day by the students of Travel & Tourism are celebrated. Media Science have published a journal which was well received by the industry. Annual Sports meet by the students of the college is the most enthusiastic and passionate event of the year. The students of Sports Management are getting the access to the “George Telegraph Sports Club” for participating in any sports related programme. These co-curricular activities are giving the students, the opening to enhance their creative skills as well as a mental relaxation for them from the academic stress and strain. |
