Among healthcare, mental health has become a major concern thus counselling has taken an important role in the healthcare field. The course develops your theoretical and practical ability to identify the areas of distress and conduct intervention programme to help people cope up with the crisis. Also, the course will ensure that you can function to provide highest quality care with the objective of ensuring maximum patient satisfaction.
Some of the subjects which are taught in Healthcare Counselling course are Introduction to Psychology, Fundamentals of Cognitive and Social Processes, Introduction to Counseling, Introduction Psychopathology and Healthcare Counselling.
Candidates who have successfully completed their training in healthcare counselling will be able to work in hospitals, nursing homes, mental health clinics, public health centres or any other healthcare organization.
The certificate course in Healthcare Counselling is a 6 months short term course under MAKAUT University (Formerly known as WBUT). . There is also sufficient emphasis on field projects and internship programs for building practical experience.
Any student who has passed 10+2 Examination with English as a subject is eligible for admission.
