The hospital administrator’s function is to ensure highest quality care at lowest cost, with the objective of ensuring patient satisfaction.
Some of the subjects which are taught in the course are Health Care Planning, Hospital Administration, Organisation and Management, Personnel Management, Concepts of Epidemiology (Public Health Administration), Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology, Financial Management, Inventory Control, Behavioral Science, Health Management Information Systems, Hospital Policies and Practices, National Health Plans, information Technology in Health Services, Hospital Operations, etc.
On Successful completion of the course you will be able to work as an administrator in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, public health centers or any other health care
You can also work for organisations which do business with healthcare facilities such as research and development firms, pharmaceutical Companies, insurance companies or computer software firms.
The course is even an ideal launching pad for specialised higher studies leading to Master’s and Doctoral degrees in the field, in India or abroad.
WBUT's Bachelor's Degree in Hospital Management is a 3-years, full-time course.
Any student who has passed 10+2 Examination with English as a subject is eligible for admission.
