The establishment of George College in 2001, as an affiliated college of the West Bengal University of Technology, has added a new chapter to an illustrious heritage:
The origin of the group was with the establishment of The George Telegraph Training Institute In 1920 to arrest the rising tide of unemployment by providing job-oriented training tailored to the requirement of industry.
Today, The George Telegraph Training Institute offers more than fifty courses in seven disciplines through Twenty centres in Eastern India under the advice of major manufacturing companies of the nation. |
