The post graduate programme M.Sc. in Dietetics & Nutrition is a two-year degree course under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). It is a 2-year program designed to enhance knowledge and skills of nutrition and to develop critical evaluation skills through an integration of nutrition, dietetics (therapeutic nutrition) and research. It provides opportunity for interaction with patients, and thus, students get hands-on training in hospitals, in association with dietitians and clinicians. The course is divided into 4 semesters and covers field projects for building practical experience.

The candidates should complete their B.Sc. degree under any registered university with subjects like Physics, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology and Microbiology/ B.Sc. (Family and Community Sciences) with specialization in Nutrition./ B.Sc. (Vocational) with specialization in Food Science and Quality control or Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics or Food Science and Technology or B.Tech. Food Science and Technology./ B.Sc. (Family and Community Sciences) Programme with specialization in Foods and Nutrition/Public health Nutrition/Dietetics/Food Science and Quality Control.
